Philippine Casino Revenues Skyrocket in Q4

PAGCOR’s latest figures reveal a remarkable rebound in Q4. Licensed venues hauled in PHP 51.2 billion (approximately US$925 million). That marks an 85 percent jump over the PHP 44.05 billion logged a year earlier.

In Entertainment City four icons fuelled the surge: City of Dreams Manila, Newport World Resorts, Solaire and Okada Manila. Each contributed to the headline total through tables slots and VIP salons.

Over in Clark integrated resorts posted PHP 6.77 billion (around US$123 million). That result towers 195 percent above last year’s Q4 tally. Meanwhile Fiesta-run casinos added PHP 210 million (nearly US$3.8 million), up 76 percent on 4Q21.

PAGCOR’s own operations delivered PHP 4.82 billion (about US$87 million). Almost half stemmed from slot machines at PHP 2.33 billion. Table games chipped in PHP 1.79 billion. VIP slots showed a slight deficit of PHP 272 000 while high‑roller tables pulled PHP 650 million.

All segments combined to generate PHP 58.96 billion (roughly US$1.06 billion) for 2022. That total sits 66 percent above the previous year. Gaming activities alone contributed PHP 55.05 billion, a 68 percent rise year‑on‑year.

Outlook

PAGCOR’s chairman Alejandro Tengco remains upbeat. He points to renewed footfall as lockdowns end and jabs roll out. He predicts full recovery—possibly eclipsing pre‑pandemic peaks—mirroring gains seen in Singapore and Macau.
