Help! Hard time choosing mousepad :/

Postby BBeyonD._. » 01 Aug 2012, 05:04

Hey guys, I really need your help. And as you know, I'm a Dota 1 and Dota 2 player.
So here's my problem, I have a hard time choosing the right mousepad for my Razer Abyssus.

As you see, every time I use my Razer Abyssus I use 3500dpi and 1000hz for the best gaming experience but that gaming experience is limited since I'm using a normal cloth pad. But I'm planning on buying a Razer Goliathus but I dunno what edition I'll buy. From what I've seen on the internet, they say that the Speed Edition is for high sensitivity users (I'm a high sensitivity user) and for games that needs many APMs and one of it is Dota, so this mousepad is kinda for me but they say that the Control Edition is good in making precise mouse clicks since it's Control edition after all but the problem is the Control Edition is for low sensitivity users but I use high sensitivity, is it okay for me to buy the Control Edition? :? You should also know that 1 misclick in Dota can cost you the game.

In your own opinion, which one should I buy? Or do you have a mousepad to recommend for me?
I also want to hear all you thoughts especially the people who has Razer Goliathus Speed/Control Edition or from people who own a Razer Abyssus/Razer Deathadder. Please drop a comment below, it'll help. Thanks! :D

Firstly, how did this get turned into an announcement? O_o

And secondly, I don't use mousepads anymore. I use the empty space to the right of the trackpad on the laptop itself as my trackpad most of the time and it works fine xD I'm pretty sure if the mouse is good enough, it should be able to handle a myriad of surfaces. And if it can't then you made a bad choice of mouse (that's just my opinion on mice, not you :)).

In the end, if the surface you're using the mouse on doesn't cause any funny stutters or jumps on screen then said surface should be enough.

I use a SteelSeries QcK Mini with my Abyssus. Is that blasphemous?

Ok well i guess i will be able to help you. I have a razer goliathous medium size control edition and like u i am a high sensitivity gamer but, you have to also understand u have a 3500 dpi mouse for a reason u can cap that thing at a pretty high mouse speed espectially with the new razer synapse 2.0 that just came out with cloud settings for gaming on the fly. The control and speed edition of the goliathous are made out of micro fiber weaves designed for the lazer to read differently that is why they are different. imho control would benefit you more because your mouse is 3500 dpi i also have a 3500 dpi mouse ( death adder) and i honestly love that mouse pad to death just dowload the cloud drivers ( synapse 2.0) and fiddle with your settings. you will fall in love as well
