Mine was Treant. I picked him because his appearance was the same as the Sentinel's tower. So I thought he has cool skills, but after I used him. He was not that cool. But his overgrowth was one of the best AoE skills in DotA. =)) The advanced item I first built was Bracer or Wraith Band. lol I forgot. But I think it was Bracer.

I don't remember the very first hero I played but one I remember is Axe. I failed in a lane where I tried to get behind tower and kill creeps. My friends were douches and started laughing at my fail and I ragequit that game.

I don't remember the laning heroes, but I'm sure it was an impossible lane to tank the creeps since I died so easily. It's not very hard to tank creeps in an easy/decent lane.

As for first advanced item, it was probably Eul's but I remember SNY more.

I stared Dota with Razor about 4 years ago when razor had Freenzy and Lightening and his ulti was kind of radiance.
First advanced item i learned to buy was Power trades.

the reason i chose Razor was because i Just liked his Appearance.thought he cool.

Well this takes me back. I picked Jakiro - coz dragons are cool, right? And man, back then I thought Perseverance was the shit. And then my friend taught me how to turn it into Linkens. Still have a soft spot for that item.

My First Hero was DrowRanger(Travex) ,Before his Ulti was nerfed ,he was so good at farming and my first Big Item was Butterfly , thinking of PT as normal Inventry

My first hero was mortred it was in a LAN game with mates on version 6.39^^
I remember i took stats instead of spells cause i thought it was better and bought only recipes and ultimate orbs cause i didnt know there was a secret shop^^
Plus it took me several months to realize there were sideshops x)

My first hero was the Stealth Assassin because his ultimate was saying "Permanent Invisibility" and who wouldn't pick that at sight?
As the first item I remember picking DESOLATOR because it was really an easy recipe, 2 hammers and the recipe obviously.

I also remember that people were telling me something like "SMOKE RIKI SMOKE" and I was replying them that I do not smoke because it's bad and it's a waste of money.
