Someone went ahead and made an entire site for this, which you can find at http://www.dota2reference.com/.

I started on this when I got to work this morning. I'm making a list of all the confirmed Dota2 heroes so far, and adding the HoN ports from DotA to make it easier on myself when I make the transition between games.

I'm sure there are a bunch of others like me that haven't played DotA yet, or it's been simply too long to remember anything (last time I played was back in the WC III days, so quite a few years ago).

I try to keep the descriptions as short as possible and some stuff may look confusing, but i'm sure you can figure out what is what from the notes I wrote down. If I wrote "/" at the HoN equivalent that means I either don't know which hero is who, it doesn't exist, or it shows some similarities, but is not quite the same. Feel free to correct me if you see some mistakes there.

This is a great initiative Zagtul! I am betting a lot of people would find it usefull! I'll take some time later to give you some answers on the '/"'s!

Rattletrap is Pharaoh with something different on ultimates:
At HoN it pass throug ally to reach enemy, at DotA the skill wont initiate if encounter and ally ( something like hook )
In both games with ultimate boost it will do the skill to ally and stun aoe around it.

Evirything else lika Axe = Legio they have atleast one skill different now.

Yea I noticed the Axe thing, added Legionnaire next to it anyway since I remember people referring to him as Axe before.

I'll add Pharaoh aswell on the next edit.

Beastmaster is Tundra with attack speed aura.

I'd say it's about the same. Tundra grants an attack speed bonus against the people he uses the skill on, refreshing itself as he attacks the target.

Aluna is very similar to Windrunner, and Kracken is also similar to Tidehunter. Neither are direct ports. I'll leave it to everyone else to argue whether they should make the chart or not.

I think this should do it.
I have no idea how the settings work exactly, so right now anyone can edit it. Some trolls might mess it up by the time you copied it or whatever.

That's not a bad idea actually. I'll get started on it if I can find some time tonight after work (~6 more hours).

Update: I've added all the items as requested, I think I should have them all.
Incase I made some errors, feel free to point them out.


This is a little checklist I made. The ones that aren't marked with red didn't have a HoN equivalent item. Same with the spreadsheet, if I wrote "/" after a HoN item, that means I couldn't find the DotA equivalent.

Again, if you spot any mistakes, tell me.

Also; damn this forum needs width/height code or something for these images. ;_;
